Decorated Viking tunic made of honey shad 100% linen fabric. Fabric has been washed before sewing. Tunic should be hand washed in 30 C. Shape based on a find from Birka (Sweden), 8th-9th cent. Made of two rectangles and with square-shaped wedges under the armpits and wedges on the sides. Round neckline with split. Similar patterns were used in both the Skjoldehamn and Kragelund tunics, they are characteristic for early medieval tunics. Inside stitches are machine, every visible stitches are made by hand with linen threads. On the cuffs are hand made embroideries, made with linen threads on brown linen, sized 4 cm x 27 cm. The embroidery’s motif is in Mammen style, found on horse collar. Sleeves and lower edge are decorated with green 100% linen.
Size: length of tunic 103 cm, width 56 cm x2, length of sleeves 61 cm, width of sleeves 14 cm, height of wedges 48 cm, cut under neck 6 cm.
