Beautiful Viking dress with embroidery from Urnes

Decorated Viking dress made of blue linen fabric (100%). Simple geometric cut based on a T shape, with a light undercut in the armpit. The sleeves narrow towards the wrist. The dress has two wedges; one at each side. The cuffs are bordered with blue linen, 100%. Fabric has been washed before sewing. Inside stitches are machine, every visible stitches are made by hand. In front of the dress are two, large hand made embroideries, made with linen threads sized 17 cm x 21 cm. The motif of embroidery comes from detail of door in Urnes, Norway. Dress should be hand washed in 30 C.

This type of dress was worn by Viking women both separately and as a set with an apron. An embellished dress would go well as a richer element of early medieval costume.
