Viking dress with embroidery from Isle of Man

Dress made from 100% linen in dark red color. Fabric was washed before sewing. Simple geometric cut based on a T shape, with a light undercut in the armpit, a cut popular during the Viking period. Such a dress can be worn under an Viking apron dress. The sleeves narrow towards the wrist. The dress has two wedges; one at each side. Every visible stitch is hand made with a linen thread, inside stitch are machine. Half circle undercut under the neck with split. In front of the dress are two, large hand made embroideries made with linen threads, sized 6 cm x 25 cm. The motif of embroidery comes from detail from Kirk Michael, Ile of Man.

Size XL: length of dress 146 cm, width under the armpit 54 cm x 2, width in belt 49 cm x 2, width in hips 53 cm x2, length of sleeves 65 cm, width of sleeves 14 cm, height of wedges 105 cm. Size of dress is around 42-44.
