Viking linen tunic with Ravens embroidery, early medieval

Decorated Viking tunic made of 100% linen fabric in dark red color. Shape based on a find from Birka (Sweden), 8th-9th cent. Made of two rectangles and with square-shaped wedges under the armpits and wedges on the sides. The cuffs and the down part of tunic are bordered with green linen. Fabric has been washed before sewing. Inside stitches aremachine, every visible stitches are made by hand. The embroidery were made with linen threads, sized 10 cm x 18 cm. The embroidery’s motif comes from brooch "Raven of Odin", found in Gotland. 

Size: length of tunic 94 cm, width 58 cm, length of sleeves 62 cm, width of sleeves 15 cm, split under neck 6 cm.
