Triangle hat for Viking with embroidery

Eastern style hat in shape of a triangle ideal for Viking man. Made of dark gray wool in herringbone pattern with a lining of linen on the inside. This style has been worn in some parts of Scandinavia (especially Sweden) and in Russia. The embroidery was made with linen thread on linen fabric, borderd with red silk. The stitching motive in Jellinge style, has been found on scabbard shoe, X cent. The embroidery sized 20 cm x 11 cm. 

The girth measure on the inside is 59 cm, length of hat 36 cm. The hat is finished with fur from a fox’s tail.
